Our Story

Ember & Crust was born in 2018 from a tiny apartment kitchen and an obsession with sourdough. Founders Maya & Tom Reeves spent two years perfecting their starter — lovingly named "Bernard" — before opening our doors on SE Division Street.

Today we bake over 200 loaves a day, pull hundreds of espresso shots, and still treat every customer like a neighbor. Because in Portland, you probably are.
